Ghana Beat Ivory Coast To Set Seal In The Semi Final WAFU B

Black Princesses beat Ivory Coast by three goals to one today at the Baba Yara Sports Staduim to set seal to the semi final of  the WAFU Zone B U-20 Womens League .

The first goal scorer of the tournament Maafia Nyame introduces the first goal of the match in the 14th minute of the first half to give Ghana the heads up.

With a consecutive push from the Captain Stella Nyamekye, she gives Ghana the double lead in the 21st minute by a good header from the cross from Wasima Mohammed  in the same half with the goal assist from Maafia Nyame .

Ivory Coast is seen giving   constant pressure to the Black Princessess in the first 5 minutes of play and set the impression of coming the win this match as their zeal into the game was high.

However Ivory Coast’s push gave them  a goal in the secod half but the joy is short lived as Maafia Nyame finalize the scoring line in the 61st for the host team Ghana in a 3-1 score.

Ivory Coast is now out of the competition and Ghana joins Nigeria in the next stage .
