Ghanaian striker, Antoine Semenyo, showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting his fifth Premier League goal of the season in a remarkable fashion, aiding AFC Bournemouth in their victory against Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Having displayed impressive form since his return from the Black Stars’ disappointing 2023 AFCON campaign, Semenyo played a pivotal role in securing the Cherries’ first away triumph in four matches.

It was Justin Kluivert, the son of the renowned Dutch forward Patrick Kluivert, who initially put Bournemouth ahead. All these coming on the back of coming under pressure in the early stages of the game.

Despite squandering two promising opportunities, the Black Stars forward redeemed himself with a screamer of a strike that found the back of the net after deflecting slightly.

This memorable goal marked his 200th club appearance, leaving an enduring impact on the match.

Semenyo’s fifth goal of the season positioned him as the second-highest scorer for Bournemouth, trailing behind Dominic Solanke, who has notched up 14 goals.

The victory brought an end to Bournemouth’s seven-game winless streak, providing a much-needed boost to their morale.
