Ex-Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan gives 100 percent blessing to Samuel Inkoom’s S-Inkoom Football Management

Asamoah Gyan has thrown his full support behind Samuel Inkoom’s S-Inkoom Football Management (SIFMA) initiative.

The ex-Black Stars captain attended the launch of the project’s upcoming event dubbed ‘Showcase of African Nations Tournament’, aiming to provide budding talents with a platform to reach global acclaim.

SIFMA also aims to tackle pertinent issues like contract negotiations, which often pose challenges for footballers lacking formal education.

Gyan, Ghana’s leading goal scorer with 51 goals, endorsed the project and commended his former Black Stars teammate for his bold initiative.

“Samuel Inkooom had been very very supportive since day one, we are here to support each other, we all support good initiaitve.”

Asamoah, who also launched a comparable endeavour called the All Regional Games, views the current time as ideal for ex-players such as himself to forge a common front and assist the younger generation.

“I have my project, he is also having his project, and we working as a team, we talked behind the scenes and for what I have been in the game and for what he is doing now after his career, I think is fair or is the right thing to do as a brother, I’m always here , I also tell him hey, we have to support each other and this is what is happening.”

“And I’m very very proud of him, he been somebody who saw me when he was growing up and he became who he is, and we met in the nation team, we had a lot of great things together in camp and is like life after football right.”

He also expressed joy in witnessing Inkoom undertake such noble initiatives to mentor the next generation of footballers, emphasising the importance of support.

“I’m happy to see my guys progressing in life, and if you see somebody in life and you see, keep touching different lifes especially this young generations coming up, hey, i think is a good initiative and we need to support him.”

As a step towards achieving this goal, S-Inkoom Football Management will host a football tournament the ‘Showcase of African Nations Tournament’, scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2024.
