Accra, July- Ms. Juliet A. Amoah, Country Director of Emerging Public Leaders of Ghana (EPL) admonished graduates of Cohort of Public Service Fellows to continue to seek knowledge and growth opportunities in the public sector organisations.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 5th Cohort of Public Service Fellows, Ms. Amoah said, “as you step into your roles in the various public sector organizations, I urge you to stay true to the values of integrity and ethical leadership you’ve honed during this Fellowship.”
“Continue to seek knowledge and growth opportunities. Be bold in your pursuit for innovative solutions to systemic challenges and most of all remember that your work, actions and inactions directly impact the lives of Ghanaian citizens.”
Adding, “is not just the accomplishments of 24 remarkable individuals, but we are beholding the first cohort to be placed in what I call our new world, our new oyster, the Public and Private sector collaborators.”
She said this course have undertaken the policy assessment projects and influenced institutions and programmes in their respective partner-host organisations.
“Graduates have demonstrated exceptional skills in achieving work place targets but also in showcasing ethical leadership.”
“Everyone is a leader where they are, here we teach our Fellows to extend that influence and to focus on how they can create value rather than on their job titles.”
“A dedication to high work ethic helps them make contributions to critical national development initiatives across various ministries, public agencies, and policy-facing CSOs across the country.” She stressed.
She said in an era where the challenges facing the nation were complex and multifaceted, the role of a competent, ethical public service could not be overstated.
“You, our graduating fellows, represent the future of Ghana’s public service.”
“Your fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and commitment to excellence are exactly what our nation needs to progress and prosper.”
She congratulated the graduates on behalf of EPL Ghana, “I want to express our deepest gratitude to our partners at the Mastercard Foundation who have contributed to the sustainability of the Fellowship.”
“Our partners in the Public Service and the Office of the Head of Civil Service who continue to provide our Fellows with employment opportunities and to put them at decision making tables.”
“As you graduate today, remember that this is not an end, but a beginning into public service and the journey of being an alumina.”
