Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte II Meets The Media Ahead Of Homowo Peace Charity Cup Match Between Accra Hearts of Oak And Kpando Heart of Lions

The Gbese Mantse and Adonten of the Ga State, Nii Ayi Bonte II says the match between Accra Hearts of Oak and Kpando Heart Of Lions on Sunday is a charity match and proceeds would be used for a good cause. He appealed to football fans to fill the stadium.

He was however not happy that Accra Great Olympics, a club based in Accra could not honour the match and it had to go the Heart of lions.

Nii Ayi Bonte II stressed he would not invite Oly to any match any more since they disrespected him.

He expressed that Hearts of Oak will win to bring back lost glories because he will be at the Accra Sports Stadium, noting that Hearts never loses whenever he is at the stadium.

Nii Gbese II invited all past Accra Hearts of Oak directors and management members to come for a regathering to set the club on the winning side.

The last league competition was one of the worsts in the history of glorious club of Ghana, Accra Hearts of Oak who have become Ghana football champions so many times and won the African Clubs Championship and Super Cup,

The Phobians have promised to turn the tide this season to bring smiles on the faces of their supporters, sympathisers and fans.

After losing the league and knock out trophies, they missed the Democracy Cup to their bitterest rivals, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, now they have the Gbese Mantse Homowo Charity Cup at stake against Kpando Heart of Lions on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte II who donated the trophy to promote peace and unity during the Homowo Festival as well as the General Elections, is a staunch member of the Phobia family having held different positions.

Also at stake is a golden boot to be awarded to the Most Exciting Player.

The festivities at the stadium begin with colts football to whet the appetite of fans before a special selected Nii Ayi Bonte XI comprising family and friends versus the British High Commission Football Team.

The main match starts at 3.30pm and both clubs are expected to feature newly signed on players like goalkeeper Ben Asare now a Phobian who urged fans to come and watch the game, promising spectacular moments.

Hearts’ Coach Aboubakar Ouattara and Bashiru Hayford of Lions also urged fans to come and watch a beautiful game by new stars. Both promised having strategy to win.

The gate fee is 5ghc at the Gbese Mantse Palace. 10ghc for popular stand. 20ghc for regular. 100ghc for VIP and 200ghc for VVIP at the stadium.

The Gbese Mantse Peace Charity Cup is organised by Golden Star Consult headed by Mr. Sammy Amin Addo with several media partners.
