The excitement is palpable as the Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) gears up for an electrifying new season! The announcement has just dropped: the ‘Ashlid Ball’ is set to be the official match ball for the highly anticipated 2024/2025 football season.

This dynamic partnership isn’t new; GARFA and Ashlid previously joined forces for the 2021/2022 GARFA Division Two Middle League. Now, they’ve inked a fresh deal with Ashlid Enterprise, Ghana’s top-notch sports equipment powerhouse, ensuring that every kick, pass, and goal will be backed by quality footballs throughout the season.

At a vibrant launch event held at the GHALCA Conference Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium, it was confirmed that each GARFA club will receive a generous supply of match balls—three for training and an extra three to ensure readiness on match days. That’s a total of 1,800 Ashlid Balls on the pitch, destined to elevate the game!

The new Ashlid Orbita design boasts an innovative 8-panel construction, enhancing player touch and control for those game-changing moments. These balls are engineered for excellence, providing superior performance in any weather—whether it’s sunny skies or drizzling rain. With a sleek white body adorned with bold red strips, the Ashlid Balls proudly showcase GARFA’s vibrant colors, while special designs will grace the GARFA Women’s League and Middle League.

GARFA Chairman Samuel Aboabire took center stage at the launch, showering praise on the CEO of Ashlid Enterprise Fredrick Aglago Atsu for his steadfast support during his tenure. “Atsu” always operated behind the scenes, saying, ‘Oh chairman, I’m just helping,’” he remarked with gratitude. “Today, we celebrate not just a partnership, but a commitment to excellence for the next three years.”
