National Sports College Acting Director visits Effutu Traditional Area

The Acting Director of the National Sports College, Winneba, Mr Bawah Fuseini, has paid a courtesy call on the Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, Neenyi Ghartey VII.

The visit, according to the Sports College was to formally announce and introduce Mr Bawah Fuseini to the traditional ruler of the College’s jurisdiction.

As customs demanded, it was also to seek their blessings and guidance for his tenure as the director of the College.

Mr Bawah Fuseini, who also doubles as the President of Ghana Athletics, expressed gratitude for the Chief’s warm reception and emphasised his commitment to collaborating with him to enhance the College’s development.
On his part, the Paramount chief congratulated Mr Bawah on his new position and assured him of the traditional council’s support.

Neenyi Ghartey VII highlighted the importance of revitalising the NSC, referencing its past contributions to the Aboakyer festival and expressed hope for the College to thrive for the benefit of the Winneba community.
Mr. Bawah who officially took office on October 15, 2024, was accompanied by the head of the public relations unit of the college, Florence Adams and the head of the accounts Mr Joseph Appiah.
