Alajo United FC claimed a thrilling 2-1 victory over arch-rivals Newtown Youth FC at the Alajo Astroturf today in an outstanding SOCCABET Division Two league match, thrilling a sold-out crowd.

Class One Referee Gideon Nii Cofie and his team demonstrated exceptional professionalism in managing the intense encounter.

Newly appointed Alajo United Coach, Mensah Logosu and his boys proved too hot for the Newtown Youth lads, as football fans at the venue enjoyed an excellent display of talent, skill and determination.

Joshua Addo’s own goal gave Alajo United the lead with Samuel Ankrah equalizing for Newtown Youth later in the game. Ebenezer Donkor’s intelligent strike sealed the victory for Alajo United

Daniel Kpakpo Allotey’s outstanding performance earned him the Best Player of the Match award.
