John Laryea beats Nicaraguan Alexander Mejia in debut international fight

The two-time undefeated WBO African featherweight champion claimed victory in the eight-round contest at the Caribe Royale Orlando in Florida, US, in his first taste of international fight.

The ‘Expensive Boxer’ knocked down his Nicaraguan opponent in the first round of the fight and continued his dominance.

The Ghanaian also landed a few punches and jabs in subsequent rounds with Alexander Mejia finding no answers

The fight is part of Laryea’s dream to become Ghana’s 11th world champion.
