The 2024 Men’s World XI nominees have been unveiled, with Real Madrid outshining Manchester City by boasting eight players on the prestigious list.

Real Madrid dominate the shortlist with eight nominations, including Jude Bellingham, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Jr, and new signing Kylian Mbappe. Defenders Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger, along with rising star Federico Valverde, complete their impressive lineup.

Manchester City are close behind with seven players nominated. Key names include Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, and Ruben Dias, alongside Ederson, Kyle Walker, Rodri, and Phil Foden. Their strong representation reflects their continued dominance in European football.

Elsewhere, legendary stars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo headline the forwards, while Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez add Premier League flair to the defensive and goalkeeping lists. Rising talents like Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) and Cole Palmer (Chelsea) were also cut.

This year’s shortlist highlights the enduring quality of Europe’s elite clubs, with Real Madrid and Manchester City setting the standard at the very top.
