The Liverpool star, widely regarded as one of the best players in the world, reportedly feels that comparisons with Omar Marmoush, currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, are unwarranted. While Salah has achieved global recognition over the years, Marmoush is still carving out his career in Europe.
“I see Omar Marmoush as a great player with a lot of talent. We have to stay away from comparisons so that everything goes better for him. People must stop comparing Marmoush to me. He is starting his journey, and I have achieved a lot in my career,” he said.
“These comparisons put him under a lot of pressure, and I am sure he does not like it. Let him enjoy his journey and his success,” Salah added. The 32-year-old’s stance is said to stem from a desire to highlight the unique journeys of Egyptian players, rather than pit them against each other.
