Ghana’s women’s national team coach, Kim Lars Björkegren, says the Black Queens are approaching every match with a winning mindset. According to the Swedish tactician, instilling a “win every game” philosophy is central to the team’s transformation and hunger for excellence. With this strong mental approach, the Black Queens are building momentum to reclaim their place among Africa’s elite.

Coach Kim praised the team’s hard work, improved fitness level, and ability to score late goals in recent matches. Reflecting on the loss to South Africa, he emphasized the positives.

“We hit the bar twice and had more shots, more corners. We were pushing till the end. It wasn’t the result we wanted, but we played well against a strong team.” he said.

Mali may only need a point to qualify, but our mentality is to win every game, whether it’s the group stage or the final. We’ve studied Mali closely, but we believe in our style and ability.” Kim Lars Björkegren added.

The game will take place at the Berkane Stadium in Morocco at 4pm GMT on Friday, July 11, 2025.
