Black Queens midfielder Sherifatu Sumaila has declared the team’s readiness to give everything in their quest to reach the WAFCON 2024 final. With momentum building and confidence high, she emphasized the squad’s unity, mental strength, and determination to push past any challenge as Ghana targets its first continental title in decades.

“Getting to this stage of the tournament is a big deal, not just for us as players but for the entire country,” she said.

“We trust our coach. He’s given us a clear game plan, and all we have to do is to follow it and give everything we’ve got.”

With a balanced squad full of energy and experience, the Black Queens have shown resilience throughout the competition. She emphasized how teamwork and leadership have been essential.

“Some of the younger players bring so much energy to the team. It lifts us. We the older players try to guide them and keep the team strong.”

Despite the excitement surrounding the match, there is also a personal note of reflection for Sharifatu.

“It was always my dream to play in these kinds of games. But due to some reasons, I haven’t had the chance to be on the field as much as I wanted. Still, I’m supporting the team in every way I can.”

The team’s journey to the semi-finals has been one of hard work, belief, and passion. Now, as they prepare to face a strong Moroccan side in front of their home fans, the Black Queens remain undaunted.

“We know what this game means. We are hopeful. We’ve prepared well. Tomorrow, we’ll give it our all.”Sharifatu added.
