The Ghana Football Association has announced that the main registration window for the 2025/26 football season will officially shut on August 31. Clubs across all divisions are expected to finalize player signings, contract renewals, and transfers before the deadline to ensure squad eligibility for the new campaign. The closure of the window is a key step in maintaining the integrity of the competition, giving teams ample time to prepare and build competitive rosters ahead of the season’s kickoff.

The registration period, which opened on Monday, June 23, 2025, allows all clubs of the Ghana football Association to complete player transfers and registrations in line with the GFA Regulations, which mandate the opening of the main registration window before the start of each football season.

The Ghana Football Association has emphasized that the deadline will be strictly enforced.

As part of the process, the Association has outlined that clubs must complete all registrations before the August 31 deadline and all queries raised by the Association must be resolved by within a day, (weekend included).

Deadline for the loading money into the registration wallet of clubs is on or before Wednesday, August 27, 2025 with the Proof of Payment Form emailed to the GFA Finance Department via finance@ghanafa.org.

The GFA has urged all clubs to adhere to these timelines to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process ahead of the 2025/26 season which commences with the Ghana Premier League on Friday, September 12, 2025.
