Ghana forward Ernest Nuamah scored his first league goal of the season for Olympique Lyon as they were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Nantes on Sunday evening in a round 19 Ligue 1 clash at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
Nuamah opened the scoring in the 10th minute, latching onto a pass from Argentine defender Nicolas Tagliafico.
The 21-year-old forward was left unmarked in the box and confidently placed his shot into the right corner of the net, giving Lyon an early lead.

However, the visitors were denied all three points after Nantes struck late in the game.
In the 90th minute, Nigerian winger Moses Simon delivered a pinpoint assist to Egyptian striker Mostafa Mohamed, who calmly slotted home the equalizer to secure a point for the hosts.
Nuamah’s goal brings his tally to two for Lyon across all competitions this season.
The Ghanaian scored his first goal in the Europa League and has made 21 appearances for the French side since joining the club.
Lyon sit in the 6th position on the league standings. They are winless in their last five games across all competitions.
