Zambia Women’s Coach Nora Hauptle Acknowledges Tough Challenge Ahead

Nora Hauptle, the newly appointed head coach of Zambia’s women’s national team, has acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead.

Speaking at her unveiling, Hauptle recognised the high expectations surrounding her appointment, particularly with Zambia’s participation in the 2025 AFCON in Morocco looming.

Hauptle admitted that winning the 2025 WAFCON, which takes place in July, will be a difficult task. However, she expressed confidence in the team’s potential, stating, “There’s so much potential I see in this team… We want to qualify for the big tournaments, be back at the World Cup and Olympics, and pass the group stage.”

Despite the challenges, Hauptle is committed to helping the Copper Queens achieve their goals. She emphasised the importance of taking the right development steps to ensure the team’s success.

With Hauptle’s experience and expertise, Zambia’s women’s national team is poised to make a strong push for success in the upcoming tournaments.
