EMMANUEL COMMEY SHOWS FORM, QUALIFIES FOR ROUND OF 32 IN MEN’S SINGLES

Ghana Immigration Service’s Emmanuel Commey who recently returned to Ghana from a training program geared towards the African Games in the United Kingdom has advanced to the round of 32 in the men’s singles competition with a 3-1 (11-3, 11-8, 10-12 and 11-3) victory over Joseph Sebatindira of Uganda and another 3-1 (11-2, 11-8, 13-15 and 11-1) win over Bertin Mingashanga of Democratic Republic of Congo.

Commey took control of both games from the start dominating throughout the matches. He was a delight to watch as the supporters cheered him on to victory.

The 2021 Sports Writer’s Association of Ghana (SWAG) Award winner is very happy with his performance so far and he looks forward to his next match.
Commey faces experienced Saheed Idowu in the round of 32 for a place in the quarter finals.

Samuel Akayade will also be playing in the round of 32 against Stephane Ouaiche of Algeria.
