Access Bank National Division One League: Young Apostles FC beat Baffour Soccer Academy to Maintain top spot

In an intense match on May 19, 2024, at the Wenchii Town Park, Young Apostles FC emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline against Baffour Soccer Academy FC in the Access Bank National Division One League, Zone 1B.

The match saw both teams display impressive skills and determination, with Young Apostles FC’s Huseine Issah scoring the first goal in the 5th minute. Gabriel Asampana added to the lead with a goal in the 40th minute. Baffour S.A.’s Christopher Kumi Kyeremeh scored a consolation goal in the 74th minute, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome of the match.

 

The match also saw several cautions, with Young Apostles FC’s Ramzy Abubakar and Baffour S.A.’s George Snr Atta receiving yellow cards in the 24th and 34th minutes, respectively.

Young Apostles FC made five substitutions during the match, bringing in fresh legs and new energy to the field. Baffour S.A. also made three substitutions, but ultimately couldn’t overcome the deficit.

Huseine Issah of Young Apostles FC was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, which included scoring the opening goal and consistently threatening the Baffour S.A. defense.

This win marks a significant milestone for Young Apostles FC, and they will look to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches. With this victory, they solidify their position in the Access Bank Division One League, Zone 1B, and prove themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the competition.
